Tony Payne is an engineer and entrepreneur with interests in information retrieval, data mining, web 2.0, large scale deployments and agile development. Before joining Perfect Market, Tony founded a technology consulting firm catering to start-ups in e-commerce, online media and advertising, information retrieval, information security and networking. He served as Director of Software Engineering at Omnilux, Inc. where he led the development of their network management application. While in senior engineering positions at CitySearch, PETsMART.com and North Communications, Tony was responsible for re-architecting numerous systems for scalability, security and maintainability. Tony received the prestigious Max B. Alcorn Scholarship in Computer Science while at the California Institute of Technology.
